5 Favorites and the Link-Up Winner!!

I'm linking up with the lovely Hallie for list of 5 favorites, with the giveaway winner at the end- because you have to work for it.

1) With Mike working through most evenings leading up to his exams, I have been doing one of my all time favorite things to do before falling into bed at night:
Re-watching the FIRST THREE seasons of The Office. Because they are the only good ones.

2) This school room:

It is Heather's school area, which she recently posted on on her blog, which is another new favorite. I am a teeny bit obsessed and am now on a mission to replicate. Thank you, Heather!

3)This picture:

Just in case anyone was wondering where she gets that ridiculous head of hair (and Mike is not actually mad, just pretending). Her hair is still not falling out at all, and I feel confident that his won't ever either. Also, he did not give me "permission" to put this picture up, so if it comes down later, you know why.

4) While sweets are at a minimum during this penitential season, Sundays will find me making these bad boys every week:
via
I am not on the Pinterest anymore, so I am sure I am behind, but after Grace posted them the other day I tried them and could. not. stop. eating. So good.

5) Last but most importantly, my very favorite thing to share today is the WINNER of the Cabin Fever link-up and giveaway, who happens to be one of my most favorite bloggers. She made some seriously amazing stuff for the link-up:
CONGRATULATIONS to Kate Rhodes @TheRhodesLog!! Head over and check out her amazing sewing skills and embroidery and then keep reading because her blog is fabulous. Kate, you have your choice of a nursing cover (with more toned down colors than that one) or light pink infinity scarf, which incidentally can be used to cover up while nursing, both hand crafted by the most mediocre crafter on the planet (me).

I LOVED doing this link-up so much and I will definitely do it again next year. It was awesome getting to see all the crazy creative things that everyone came up with (or had already done), whether it was a stellar toy kitchen set, the coolest purse organizer ever, or the cutest little crocheted monster- they were all so great, and now I have them all at my disposal to go to for ideas any time. Thank you to everyone who linked up!!

Now head over for Hallie and the rest for lots of other favorites!

    1. Ha! So, now that I've had my coffee (and with a little help from my friends) I realize that the school room isn't yours. You're still a rockstar mama, though! ;)

    1. He's got the whole world in His hands, baby! haha Yup the lovely Mary B is my sis in law. And she's even more awesome in person! Dwija you are gassin my head up girl. I am almost certain that after the ego boost you ladies have given me this week, something really embarrassing is waiting for me just around the corner. What will it be? Toilet paper on the shoe during Mass? My kids run onto the porch in their underpants (again)?? the baby makes a superloud duke in her diaper in a public setting? I don't know. But it's coming. I can feel it in my bones.

  5. When are ND's comps? St. Louis University spreads them out so that there are comps at the end of each of the first three years..and I must say, it kinda messes with the joy of Easter. Like, "Yay! Jesus is risen...guess we'll celebrate in a week when your comps are over..." ;-)

Ahh...the joys of being married to a doctoral student, right?

  8. Eeeek! I'm so excited especially because I wrote myself out of the competition when I saw Kaitlin's kiddy kitchen! You've restored my faith in my own creativity which was lost when I was cut from my kindergarten tree-drawing team! Thank you so much! (And I'll go for the nursing cover! Yay prizes!)

  11. Awesome father-daughter hair matching!

♥the schoolroom. I need ideas for a chalkboard for our homework room and I like the free-form styling of that one.

I, too, am allowing Grace to be my Pinterest filter. Btw, what year is spellcheck from? Why does it not know Pinterest?

    Thank you for sharing!

  14. I thought Kate might win, I was crazy impressed with her skills. I loved this link up and maybe this time next year I'll have my sh together to participate. I'm a DIY-er in good intention/imagination only.

And now you AND Grace have recommended these cookies. So guess which guy is making a double batch this weekend? This guy.

  15. Okay, my FAVORITE part of this post: "Also, he did not give me "permission" to put this picture up, so if it comes down later, you know why." HA! I have so many of those. I just hope that Ben will never see them ;o)
Btw, now I'm determined to make those cookies! They look sooo yummy right now that I could probably eat like 20.

  16. I agree! The first few episodes of The Office are the best...when my husband and I cannot agree on what to watch on TV, re-runs of The Office always make both happy:)
